We've been playing a lot of Beatles music at work again, which is a band I never really liked. My dad loved them, he lived near London when they made it big and saw them play a few times at the festival things they had back then. I have his records now (including a 45' of Eleanor Rigby & Yellow Submarine!) and grew up listening to them with my sisters. Specifically, we used to move the hallway rug off the wood flooring and they would "jive" with me to songs like Twist & Shout. I remember, and definitely prefer, the early Beatles stuff.
This is a song I heard the other night for the first time though, and I love it...
I liked this video as it brings to life the photos I have of my Dad's 21st birthday party, when my parents met. I'll share them one day. Same era, same age, same country!
