This video deals with photography, and is pretty cool, but I think it also relates to the appeal of vintage versus repro. I enjoy using my vintage things and knowing it has had a past life and past loves. It just gives one a far greater sense of connection with what one owns and uses and wears.
Really interesting watch, thank you for sharing!! Gosh, how I'd love to paw around down there! I couldn't agree more about the appeal of authentic vintage; repro things are swell for saving wear and tear on actual vintage, I'll concede (though I can't afford repro anyway ;) but nothing beats that tangible sense of history from the original pieces.
